Cuckmere Haven, Sussex: Saturday 3rd August 2019

**THE WALK IS NOW FULLY BOOKED**

For our eighth annual walk, we head to Seven Sisters, Sussex, completing our journey across the coast from Eastbourne, through Birling Gap, Cuckmere Haven to Seaford.

As we walk up and down the seven peaks and troughs (and wade through Cuckmere river!) surrounded by stunning panoramic views of the English Channel, we will stop along the route for short talks, Qur’an recitation, ending with live nasheeds at the golf club by the Kenyan group Al Birru Wattaqwa.

With the stunning backdrop, we will explore the concept of life’s ups and downs, using related Quran ayahs.

The Theme

The short talks during the walk will explore the concepts of patience and gratefulness. These two traits are necessary for anyone who wants to successfully navigate the ups and downs of life.

On the authority of Suhaib (may Allaah be pleased with him) he said: The Prophet peace be upon said:

“Amazing is the affair of the believer, verily all of his affair is good and this is not for no one except thebeliever. If something of goodbefalls him he is grateful and that is good for him.If something of harm befalls him he is patient and that is good for him.”
